Spinach-Strawberry Salad


strawberry saladA favorite for brunch or lunch especially in the spring and summer.  This looks beautiful, tastes great, and it’s easy too!

Serves 4-5

2 bunches of fresh spinach or 1 bag of spinach-cleaned and stems cut off
2 pints of fresh strawberries - tops cut off and quartered
Slivered almonds
2 T toasted black sesame seeds (you can use poppy seeds if you want)
2 T toasted white sesame seeds

½ cup sugar
¼ cup cider vinegar
½ cup olive oil
1 tsp. onion (1 sm. onion quartered and put into blender)
¼ tsp. Worcestershire sauce
¼ tsp. paprika

Blend above ingredients in a blender until creamy.
Toss with spinach, strawberries, and almonds.  Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and poppy seeds.

Wine: Serve this with your favorite chicken recipe and Solo Rosa Rose.
